WELCOME TO THE MILE HIGH MAGICIANS SOCIETY

The Mile High Magicians Society is a Denver-based association of magical enthusiasts dedicated to enjoying, appreciating and advancing the art of magic. Our performing members share their magic in many ways: From entertaining family, friends and neighbors, to street performances, to children’s birthday parties, at restaurants and banquets, at corporate events and on the speaking platform.

We meet monthly and regularly arrange for first-rate performers from around the world to perform and lecture for our members.  We are a local chapter of both international magic organizations, the International Brotherhood of Magicians (IBM) #131 and the Society of American Magicians (SAM) Earl Reum Assembly #37.

Greetings and Happy New Year to all our Members!

I am truly excited and honored to serve as your incoming president. When I first joined the Mile High Magicians back in 1988, I never imagined that one day I would have the privilege of leading this club. To stand in a role once held by my friends and mentors is both humbling and meaningful.

Serving as your Vice President for the past two years has been an absolute pleasure. I’m grateful for the opportunity to work alongside Dan Rodriguez and our dedicated board members. Their leadership has laid a strong foundation, and I’m thrilled to continue working with such a supportive and enthusiastic team. I can’t wait to see how our club continues to thrive.

Coming Attractions

The board and I have already begun planning for the year ahead. We’re excited to continue beloved traditions like Spooky Magic and the Flea Market, while also rolling out a few surprises up our sleeves (see what I did there). You can look forward to fresh events, possible field trips, and additional lectures and shows throughout the year.

Of course, we want to see the club grow—but just as importantly, we want to see you grow. That’s the heart of what Mile High Magicians is all about: promoting the art of magic while providing a welcoming place for everyone to develop their skills and passion, whether you’re a beginner, professional, hobbyist, or collector. We want you to be part of our continued growth. Dan helped establish a safe, fun, and inspiring environment, and I’m committed to building on that legacy.

If you have an idea for something exciting for our club, feel free to reach out to me directly.

Branding and Growth Strategy

We will continue working with Brian Kagan on branding the Mile High Magicians. This ongoing effort will soon bring a refreshed website and additional updates designed to enhance your membership experience and increase the value of being part of our club.

Past Presidents Night

Our first event of the season is Past Presidents Night on January 9th at 5:30 PM at Adams Mystery Playhouse. We will be honoring Dave Neighbors with the Dave Elstun award and feature performances from Brad Montgomery, Dan Rodriguez, Jason Fye and Charlie Martin. There may be even more surprises in store. Last year’s event was a blast, and 2026 will be no exception. Be sure to purchase tickets by Monday to reserve your spot.

Here’s to an exciting year ahead—full of magic, growth, and great moments together!

June meeting of the Mile High Magicians Society

A Night of Holiday Magic and Wonder – December Meeting Minutes

The Mile High Magicians transformed their Annual Holiday Show into an unforgettable evening of magical wonder, bringing together our talented members and special guests from the Fellowship of Christian Magicians for a celebration that had audiences on the edge of their seats. From Eric Reamer’s mind-reading dive into Santa’s naughty and nice files to AJ Perea’s hilarious attempt to bribe Santa that accidentally summoned Krampus instead, the night was packed with jaw-dropping illusions and holiday magic.

Emcees Jeff and Karen Wake guided attendees through an incredible lineup featuring everything from Jim Scott’s impossible color dice predictions to Rabbi Eliot Baskin’s moving tribute to Hanukkah with his self-refilling vase miracle. The evening reached its magical climax when Glenn Proulx took the stage dressed as Santa Claus himself, helping one of his elves finally make it onto the nice list. It was a night that perfectly captured the spirit of the season—filled with mystery, laughter, and the kind of wonder that only magic can bring.
