A bit about Jonathan: Jonathan has been performing as a magician for nearly his entire life. He has been the private magician for celebrities such as Johnny Depp, Nicolas Cage, Teri Hatcher and Tony Curtis, to name just a few.He is an actor, magician, television host, producer and public speaker. Jonathan’s acting career began with his starring role as a con-artist magician in one of the most highly acclaimed episodes
of “THE X-FILES”, playing opposite Ricky Jay. He went on to guest star in television shows and films. Jonathan has hosted shows for THE DISCOVERY CHANNEL, THE SCIENCE CHANNEL, THE BIOGRAPHY CHANNEL, EQUATOR HD and the FINE LIVING NETWORK. Combining magic and hosting, Jonathan was seen on VH1 as the host and a judge of the celebrity reality magic series, “CELEBRACADABRA” and has appeared on “MASTERS OF ILLUSION” (FOX). He has graced the covers of MAGIC MAGAZINE and GENII MAGAZINE and works consistently as a magic consultant for television and film.

In this highly acclaimed lecture, I teach more than just the trick. Yes, you’ll learn some time tested foolers – effects straight from my personal repertoire – but I’ll also teach you about audience management, psychology, act structure, and developing your character. I will discuss turning a trick into an event, my theory of moving the moment, and the use of time misdirection. INCLUDED IN HIS LECTURE (BUT NOT LIMITED TO):

• Out of Sight, Out of Mind: This mind-bending plot has been of interest to magicians for decades. I will present my newest handling to perform this effect in the most streamlined and engaging presentations yet.
• The Stranger: Performance tips for my new effect, “The Stranger.”
• Mental Miracle: This is my opening routine from my close up act in which I divine four cards that are selected in four unique ways. It is a powerful opening to anyone’s act.
• Piles: This is a lesson in taking a trick that is not complicated and, through psychology and framing, creating something extremely magical and impossible.
• A Force Like No Other: This is a psychological force that involves 2 audience members.I will teach my psychology when working with a spectator to give the impression that a selected card is arrived at with no involvement from the magician, while seemingly taking place completely in the spectator’s hands.
• Card at Any Number: A selected card is positioned at any number called out by the spectator. Combined with performance technique, the impression is made that the cards were never handled by the magician
